Introduction
Woow Games (woow.games) — referred to in this document as "we", "us" or "the site" — respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and what choices you have. By using our website you accept the practices described below.
1. Information we collect
We do not require you to create an account to play. We do not directly collect your name, email or postal address unless you voluntarily send them to us through our contact page. The information automatically collected when you visit the site falls into three categories:
- Server logs: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and timestamps of pages visited. This is standard for any website and is used to detect abuse, troubleshoot technical issues and produce aggregate traffic statistics.
- Cookies and similar technologies: small files placed on your device by us or by our partners (see section 3 below).
- Analytics data: pages viewed, approximate location (country/region), device type, and game interactions, collected through Google Analytics 4 (see section 3).
2. How we use the information
We use the data described above to:
- operate and maintain the website
- understand which games and pages are popular so we can improve the catalog
- detect, prevent and address technical issues, fraud and security threats
- display relevant advertising (with your consent where required by law)
- comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Third-party services
Woow Games relies on a small number of trusted third parties to operate. Each may set its own cookies and process data under its own privacy policy:
- GamePix — provides the games embedded on our site. See the GamePix privacy policy.
- Google Analytics 4 — measures aggregated, anonymized traffic statistics. See Google's privacy policy.
- Google Tag Manager — loads our analytics and (in the future) advertising tags.
- Google AdSense (planned) — may serve personalized or non-personalized ads based on your consent. Advertising partners are listed in our ads.txt file.
- Hostinger — our web hosting provider.
4. Cookies
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device. We use cookies to:
- remember your cookie consent choice
- measure traffic anonymously (Google Analytics)
- (in the future) deliver personalized advertising if you accept
You can refuse non-essential cookies through our cookie banner at any time. You can also disable or delete cookies in your browser settings — note that doing so may affect site functionality.
5. Your rights (GDPR, EEA / UK / Switzerland)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- request correction or deletion of your data
- object to or restrict processing of your data
- request data portability
- withdraw consent at any time
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@woow.games. We will respond within 30 days.
6. Data retention
We retain server logs for a maximum of 12 months. Analytics data is retained according to Google's default settings (14 months for event-level data). Email correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle your request.
7. Children's privacy
Woow Games is a family-friendly site. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through our contact page, please email us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the latest changes were made. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
